Here you'll find all my videos, animations and interactive projects that I've created.
Bubble Earth
This is an animation that I was commisioned to make by a friend to promote his software application for a competition he was entering into. This was my first time experimenting with frame-by-frame animation, as well as teaching myself how to use my tablet properly.
I think it turned out quite nicely.
You Got Served - Gman Style
This is a small little film I whipped up to experiment with motion capture inside the Source engine. It developed a little further than that however.
Interior Design Machinima
This was for a interior Design project in first year design. We had to take an interior space (in this case, a small room in the local Wellington Art Gallery) and remodel it. I chose to remake my area using the game HL2 and created a short video to show it off.
Arguably my first machinima.
GLaDOS vs. Blackbird
This was my winning entry into Gameriot.com's"Dawn of Blackbird" machinima competition.
A promotional shoot for GLaDOS goes horribly wrong when she encounters the HP Blackbird computer.
Victoria Uiversity Bachelor of Arts promotion
Our first project for "112 - 3d ideas and Practices of Design" involved a competition where we had to make a video promoting an aspect of University Life that we were given to research.
Our video ended up winning third place in the competition and is displayed on the Victoria University website and in the lobby of the Victoria School of Architecture and Design.
Randomosity
How do we percieve colour schemes when they are completely random? Do they excite us or drive us away?
This project for my first year Digital Media Design class is a colour toy that I created which when clicked, chooses a random colour and proceeds to move across a field of squares in a ripple, changing all squares to that colour as it proceeds.
Interactive Skateboard Controller
Another project for first year Digital Media, we had to create a physical button that caused a reaction in a program when used. I designed a skateboard that you had to lean left and right on in order to control a character on screen to move left and right in order to pick up rings.
My first exposure to Processing, I wrote a small script that sent commands from the button on the wiring board to Flash which ran the game.
